Recipes

Sometimes, when you don’t feel like going out to eat, but you still want the Asheville experience, it is good to try a homegrown Asheville recipe. Some local chefs compiled a list of their favorite recipes, all served in local restaurants, including the Early Girl Eatery’s vegan chili and sweet potato salad. Or, you can use a recipe from local inns, including Bourbon and Vanilla Marinated Pork Loin from The Madison Inn, or the Cranberry-Pistachio Biscotti from Corner Oak Manor B & B. For the holiday season, Asheville inns and chefs created a large collection of recipes, including Apricot Ginger Scones and Pumpkin Waffles. Finally, if you are watching your weight, you can try Asheville’s healthy recipes, which are low on calories but high on Asheville flavor. A few dishes include Green Tomato End of Harvest Soup and Hickory Plank Salmon.
